Larry & Teresa Diehl

Larry and Teresa Diehl are the founders and heart behind Vertical Response Ministry (VRM), providing vision, leadership, and a deep commitment to serving youth, families, and communities in Arizona. Together, they have dedicated their lives to mentorship, outreach, and building programs that create safe, structured environments where individuals can grow in confidence, discipline, and resilience. Their leadership is rooted in service, compassion, and the belief that lasting change happens through consistent support, accountability, and community connection.

Through their guidance, VRM has developed programs that focus on mentorship, life skills, and belonging—helping individuals overcome challenges such as bullying, isolation, and adversity. Larry and Teresa’s hands-on involvement and servant leadership set the tone for the organization, inspiring volunteers, partners, and community members to work together to strengthen families and create positive pathways for the next generation.

John Peasley

John Peasley serves as a Board Member of Vertical Response Ministry (VRM), bringing a strong commitment to community development and small-business leadership across Northern Arizona. A United States Navy veteran, John returned to Williams in 2003 and began investing in the local economy by purchasing and operating businesses that support tourism, jobs, and community growth. His entrepreneurial efforts helped strengthen the local business landscape and create opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

In 2007, John founded Grand Canyon Brewing Company, building a regional brand rooted in the identity and spirit of Northern Arizona. Today, his work extends beyond Williams to neighboring communities including Flagstaff, Kingman, and Page, where his leadership has contributed to economic vitality and community engagement. As a VRM board member, John brings a deep understanding of rural communities and a passion for supporting programs that strengthen families, provide positive opportunities for youth, and invest in the long-term well-being of the region.

Ernie Feavel

Ernesto Feavel serves as a dedicated Board Member of Vertical Response Ministry (VRM), bringing more than 37 years of experience in construction leadership, project management, and operational oversight. Throughout his career as a Superintendent, Project Manager, and Vice President, he has successfully led complex residential and commercial projects across multiple states, overseeing developments totaling approximately $600–700 million in value. His expertise in building codes, construction processes, and project coordination provides valuable guidance to VRM in planning, safety, and responsible stewardship of resources.

In his service to VRM, Ernie is recognized for his integrity, reliability, and solutions-focused leadership. He builds strong relationships with community partners and officials to ensure programs operate efficiently and responsibly. His practical mindset—“Bring me a concern, and I will find a solution”—reflects his commitment to accountability and long-term sustainability in advancing VRM’s mission to support youth, families, and the community.

James Diehl

James Diehl serves as a Board Member of Vertical Response Ministry (VRM), bringing a strong background in fitness, martial arts, and community service. As a full-time personal trainer and dedicated martial artist, James is committed to helping individuals build strength, discipline, and confidence through consistent training and positive mentorship. His hands-on experience working with youth and adults gives him practical insight into the physical and emotional benefits of structured programs that promote healthy lifestyles and personal growth.

In addition to his professional work, James is actively involved in church ministries and community outreach, where he supports individuals and families through service, encouragement, and leadership. His faith-driven commitment to helping others, combined with his focus on wellness and accountability, strengthens VRM’s mission to provide mentorship, stability, and positive direction for youth and families in the communities we serve.
